Getting Involved as parents is important as a child develops. This guide gives parents ideas to get involved in a child's school based on subject areas. There are many areas that parents can be a part of when volunteering at their son or daughters school, this guide is just a start to let parents know what options they have.

Checklist! This site explains that there are 6 different pieces when it comes to parent involvement. There is a checklist for parents to use that goes through each of the 6 pieces and gives them samples at how to complete each one.

Building family/school partnerships is an important factor for all parents to remember. There are a variety of pieces of evidence and tests done that show how a students accomplishments in school can be indirectly affect by a parents involvement within their classroom and school.

Parent Involvement Plans are available to help parents understand the guides to volunteering. Parents can make up a volunteer plan to help them be more organized with what they need to get ready and when they are to be volunteering inside the schools.

Parent interaction is very important in Title I programs. When students are placed in a program such as Title I it is a great deal of help to have the parents working with them in and outside of the school environment. It takes more than just a classroom to give students the knowledge and skills they need, it take citizens of the community and parents at home also.
